please do the following:
start multisync with debug enabled in a shell:
export MULTISYNC_DEBUG=1
multisync &> /path/to/logfile
and send me and strace:
strace multisync &> /path/to/logfile
then send me the 2 logfiles please.

I am using SuSE 9.2 Professional with Multisync 0.82-7, and after having
the same problem, I have upgraded it to 0.82-7.2 without success.
The trouble is: when configuring the Multisync pair, the Evolution
