I think that no matter how controversial work types can be, they are
essential for filtering works in prolific composers as mentioned above.
I think that a single attribute (as of now) would cover without too much
controversy 90%+ of the classical work types and if we structure it in a
tag
- or we add a field to enter separately the instrumentation and we
make instrumentation optionally visible, but to do this, we'd have to
split the title in several parts: work
type/instrumentation/remainder or even maybe work
type/instrumentation/work number/catalog number/key
signature. In

could you not just use filtering on the title field to sort? symphonies,
nocturnes, sonatas, concertos etc are titled as such which is why i'm
