Can anyone help me with setting up my 'set folder_format' setting so
that it tags folders that have new mail with an 'N. I'm looking for
something similar to this:

I've got those hook

and so, when I start mutt, i've got a beep and this error message:
There are no messages.
If there are no message in your $spoolfile collapsing threads fails.
Just ignore the message.

When compiling mutt 1.3.22.1 with gcc 3.0 under Linux 2.2.17 (i686):

I think the code that determines if getsid is present or not is broken.

you could use mutt-aliases but they're not really flexible (no flame

I also didn't like the mentioned abook, because it didn't integrate with
mutt as I

That's a good thought. :') I transitioned from Pine to Mutt, and I
think Pine asks 'do you really want to quit?' when Mutt asks 'would
you like to move read mail to ?' I've repeatidly (through force
of habit) hit 'y' when I didn't mean to. I've turned that off in
.muttrc quite a while ago

Hm, sorry I don't think that I uderstood that :-( You want to encrypt
_and_ not encrypt the same mail when you send it to two people where
you have only a key for one of those persons? If so, I have no idea
how to handle that. Sorry.
No,
I changed the color for the 'messages' object from the default, and am
curious why only some stuff there is colored. Stuff like new mail
notifications and such are, but stuff like you are at the first
message, no. And when it's changing mailboxes and synching, it is not
colored. I guess the

Is it possible to apply all that comprise lists in the `lists' or
`subscribe' command to regex such as this
send-hook ~C mutt-users 'set signature=echo Eric Smith|'
So instead of explicitly specifying mutt-users, one may specify all
the lists in one statement.
Thanx

So I'm trying out 1.3.22.1 and, in particular, trying to make it bomb the
same way that 1.2.5 did, and it doesn't, but it gives an interesting
message.
If I have a mailbox (my current test candidate is mbox =F.mutt at
just shy of 8k messages) where I've [automatically] pushed esc-V

Do you have any biff-like software running?
The only thing possibly similar is gnome's 'Mail check Applet. I have
no problem turning it off for testing purposes. There... done.
