Yup. Well, I guess at this point the question boils down to: what's
wrong with using UTF-8 for displaying things on the Nokia?
Thanks for the text. I also tried to access the files in the doc
directory using lynx but that didn't work either. For some reason I just
don't seem to be able to access those files which, incidentally, have
