Hi guys,
I'm curious about the "set hostname" option. It works
like a charm, no complains, but I'm wondering how it
can work if sendmail doesn't allow to a regular user
to set the "from" line. That is, I run mutt as a
regular user and without the "set hostname" opton, my
messages have:

Yes, but how about receiving mail?

Well, actually it's not necessary to run sendmail at all times. I think
inetd can call sendmail on demand. Just include the corresponding line in
your inetd.conf. Look at the man page of sendmail

Once you've tagged everything you need, you press the ";" key and any
command after that will be applied to all of the tagged messages. You can
also put "set auto_tag" in your muttrc and you won't have to pr

Hi everybody,
I have a question about localization of mutt. I need to read Russian once in a
while. Thanx to some of you guys I figured out how to read a Russian encoding.
I said "a" because Russian has about four of them. But the two major ones are
the one used in Unix (called KOI8-R) and the on
ignore statements at the very
beginning. Initially I thought that the "From:" field was weeded out
somehow and I commented out all the ignore lines. But alas that didn't help
either.
I hope the above is useful to see what may be wrong.

Hi guys,
I recently unsubscribed from the list because I was overwhelmed by the
amount of mail I was getting. I'm now going to use procmail. Anyway, the
question I have is probably trivial for most of you. I've tried to define a
couple of save-hooks in my muttrc and none of them have any effect o
Guys,
how do I unsubscribe from this list?
Guys,
I'm not sure if you got this message. If you did, just disregard it. I can't
seem to be able to read messages in other encodings with mutt. Setting
"charset" to anything does not help at all. This is my compile options:
-DOMAIN
-HOMESPOOL +USE_SETGID +USE_DOTLOCK -USE_FCNTL -USE_FLOC
Hi,
I can't seem to be able to read messages in cyrillic with mutt. Setting charset
to ISO-8859-5 or KOI8-r does not help at all. This is the compile options:
-DOMAIN
-HOMESPOOL +USE_SETGID +USE_DOTLOCK -USE_FCNTL -USE_FLOCK
+USE_IMAP +USE_POP +HAVE_REGCOMP -USE_GNU_REGEX +HAVE_COLOR +H
