fetchmail

problems sending mail

when i try to send mail to someone on the same server as myself, i always get amessage bask saying that the "user is unknown". for example, my address is [EMAIL PROTECTED], and when i try to send mail to say, [EMAIL PROTECTED], i get the message above. any suggestions?
