What have you tried so far to diagnose the problem?

Is the "Save settings" menu option appearing?

What method are you using to persistently store the settings off the 
MVP? A network mounted file system or TFTP?

That should be easy enough to determine, as mvpmc always reads and 
writes settings from a file that you can inspect while it is running. So 
after rebooting, login via telnet, and see if the file appears to be the 
version you expect. Similarly, after saving settings, check that the 
timestamp has change, if using TFTP, that the modified version gets 
copied back to your server.
