I am increasingly using the excellent view feature in MLO but find
that my views are proliferating with often only minor differences
between views.

Also a manual sort is specific to a particular view - so there is no
way of having different views onto the same sort order.

Soo..

Would it be possible to have a parameterised view where certain values
in the filter are setable from drop downs displayed at the top of the
ToDo view (in the line that currently has 'Filter>>>' on the left and
the Auto Update tickbox on the right.

Two examples:
* I have a key tasks view which shows tasks that I have flagged as
Key Tasks grouped by Day. I use this to plan my work and to order
Tasks within each day. What would be useful to be to quickly
restrict the date range so that I can just focus on today (and
tomorrow) so my parameters would be the start and end dates for the
view
* I have contexts for the various key people that I talk to. At the
moment, I have to define different views for each one of these
contexts to see the tasks for each person. What would be good would
be to have a Person view which has a drop down which displays selected
Contexts so that I can just switch to this viwe and then choose the
Person from the restricted list of Contexts that are people.

What do people reckon?
