It is still only encrypted in transit via https, MLO itself does not
encrypt anything. It won't change soon because the company doesn't tend to
fix problems people complain about even after 10 years (I've been around
since the first version).

I remember at a point past there was discussion about MLO Cloud Sync and
encryption and some portion was unencrypted. Not sure if it was data in
transit or maybe data at rest (on AWS ?)
