I'm thinking it's corrupt. So the "All Tasks" view defaults to having a
"j" in the text filter box. If I remove it, the option "Discard Changes"
button becomes active. If I try to save it I get the message "You are not
allowed to change the settings of a predefined view..."

option (in the context menu, seen by right-clicking on the tab) is not

modify a pre-defined view. The only things I can think are:
1) Somehow the MLO settings have been corrupted. If that's the case, the
quickest solution is probably to reinstall MLO.
