So I finally got around to giving this a try between Obsidian and MLO - and
I am having difficulties.
When I paste a local MLO link into Obisidian - and click on it - windows
does not know which app to use to open the link - is there a step I need to
do to register MLO to handle mlo: links?

Interesting! I just found Obsidian yesterday (as well as Dynalist after
looking at Workflowy). It looks like Obsidian and/or Dynalist might just do

really should try WorkFlowy. It will hold just about anything, has a great
tagging system, instantaneous searching, you can actually mark things complete
and archive them, and it has mobile apps so your information syncs
