I am trying to install the jdbc driver to work with MySQL. I have added the file: mm.mysql-2.0.8-bin.jar to the directory: java_home/jre/lib/ext. The problem is when I run my class i get a class not found error even though the mm.mysql....bin.jar is in the lib/ext directory. What am i doing wrong? There are no spelling errors etc. Adding the jar to my classpath messes up running java at all. Please help. Also, how does the JDBC driver know where to find MySQL on my computer?
