I'm running mysql version 3.23.51 on Mac OS 10.2 and have administrator
access. The program that I am writing attempted to log in at least three
unsuccessful times and is now locked out. I am getting a 1044 error and
everything I've read shows the problem as being with the properties set up
in the user table. I've checked the user table and the db table and the
permissions are all correct. I went as far as removing all the users from
mysql and re-entering them with the same privileges, but to no success. I
have changed the users completely and given them new log-on IDs and I still
get denied because of the ip address that I am coming from. It seems
that the problem is not in the user or db tables, but rather a property
set in a system file someplace on the OS X box. Any suggestions?
