I understand some of the GPL but I am a little confused on this issue: If I create a program that just queries data from a MySQL table and processes it...am I required to release that program under the GPL?
I have a MySQL server set up with some tables and I created a seperate application to query the tables and process the data. Is writing an app that is able to connect with MySQL a situation where I will need to release it under the GPL? There is no code or any part of MySQL used in the application.
