Hi everyone,

I am trying to find any project regarding the integration of GRID tools
(i.e. Globus) with MySQL.

For those who are not familiar with the GRID, what I basically want to do is
to manage a collection of MySQL DBs (we deal with large amount of data) over
a series of MySQL servers. I have a catalog that tells me which DBs are
present on which server, and I want to be able to move DBs from one server
to the other, and, using MySQL replication, link the master and slave
servers. (The problem is simplified by the fact that the databases are
produced only on one location.)

GRID tools provide me with file catalogs, and the ability to move files
around the network in a secure environment. I basically want to link this
with MySQL.

Is anybody aware of any such project? Or would anybody be willing to help me
understand what would be the best way to do it, since, even though I have
been using MySQL for the past couple of years, I have never attempted
something like that? :-)

Any help is apreciated.

Thanks,
Gabriele Carcassi
