I think this may be a problem with MySQL and if it is not please tell me how
to resolve it.

mysql Ver 11.15 Distrib 3.23.47, for pc-linux-gnu (i686)

mysql> CREATE TABLE test( name char(255) NOT NULL, INDEX(name));
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.01 sec)

mysql> INSERT INTO test VALUES('\"///\\o/\\\\\\\'');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.03 sec)

mysql> select * from test;
+-------------+
name
+-------------+
"///\o/\\\'
+-------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

mysql> SELECT * FROM test WHERE name LIKE '\"///\\o/\\\\\\\'';
Empty set (0.00 sec)

mysql> SELECT * FROM test WHERE name='\"///\\o/\\\\\\\'';
+-------------+
name
+-------------+
"///\o/\\\'
+-------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Thanks,

ilia
