Hi all. I've just upgraded the kernel on my server from v. 2.4.21 to 2.4.25 (The original had some problems), but now I can't access my database :( If I revert back to the old kernel then MySQL works fine again.
Here's some errors and stuff: # /etc/init.d/mysqld status mysqld (pid 1153 1124) is running... # /etc/init.d/mysqld stop Stopping MySQL: [FAILED] # cat /var/log/mysqld.log Attempting backtrace. You can use the following information to find out where mysqld died. If you see no messages after this, something went terribly wrong... Cannot determine thread, fp=0x40973774, backtrace may not be correct. Stack range sanity check OK, backtrace follows: 0x80e43dc 0x4007b8f8 (nil) New value of fp=(nil) failed sanity check, terminating stack trace! Please read http://www.mysql.com/doc/U/s/Using_stack_trace.html and follow instructions on how to resolve the stack trace. Resolved stack trace is much more helpful in diagnosing the problem, so please do resolve it The manual page at http://www.mysql.com/doc/C/r/Crashing.html contains information that should help you find out what is causing the crash Uhhhhh I'm really not sure what to do from here. I read through the page, but there doesn't seem to be anything suggestive of my problem... Can anybody pass on any hints on what I should be doing next?
