UPDATE: Here's what i could figure out till now
A look with a hex editor showed me that there was a change from "0B" to
"0A" and "07" to "20" in the
corrupted files compared with the original ones.
Somebody had the same problem

Someone told me just to copy the DB-Files into the data directory of the
Windows MySQL but the result is the same the images
are all corrupted... or lets better say some are some kind of
distorted..
Could somebody give me a clue???

of having MySQL built with --with-debug? Or should I eventually recompile
without --with-debug when the server is put into production?

I've applied to svr5.sh patch (and set LD_LIBRARY_PATH as it suggests),

I'm out of ideas. The README's two hints didn't pan out (nor
did using --static --config switches with the Configure command).
And yes, this is an install from source, not binary.
Any ideas anyone ?
