Hi, I have just installed mySQL version 5 and want to enable root access from remote machines. However, the configuration tool fails when trying to change the security settings with an error 2003. Apart from this it is working fine (alongside a version 4 server on the same machine). How do I manually enable root access from remote machines as adding "%" into the list of hosts for root does not seem to do anything in Administrator?
