Trying to remove co-dependiencies

I've run into a problem building 4.0.21 mysql install. On executing an install from rpm I get the following: [EMAIL PROTECTED] i386]# rpm -Uvh mysql-server-4.0.21-0.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by (installed) perl-DBD-MySQL-2.9003-4

Install Problem on Fedora Core 2 w/ ver 4.0.21
