First of all sorry for my English, I hope it would be good enougth to be
understood.
I am trying to instal mysql on a digital unix os.
First I had problem with the ./configure
it prompted this message
checking for cc++... no
checking for cl... no
checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler
cannot create executables.
so I installed gcc-2.95.3
and the ./configure seemed to work.
then gave the command make
and I had this error message
bash# make
No suffix list.
make all-recursive
No suffix list.
Making all in include
No suffix list.
Make: % rule can only use a single ':'. Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
bash#
Can you please give me some information on what happen and what I did wrong.
