When trying to do this : CREATE TABLE testcase ( force int default NULL ) TYPE=MyISAM; I get this : ERROR 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'force int default NULL, ) TYPE=MyISAM' at line 2 Is this related to the FORCE INDEX feature ? Fix: Change columnname to something different, but this often requires changes to software which is not always possible.
