Use:

        mysqladmin -p

and it will ask you for the password. To execute without question,
specify password on command line, but it is not masked if you do this
(say your password is "allaccess"):

 mysqladmin -pallaccess

and follow with the command on the same line (using the appropriate
options, of course) . . .
