Hi,
I don't know who is receiving my message, but i have an important
request on you.
I also have the same problem.
I installed MySQL on my server and after reboot i got the error message
when starting mysql:
"ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)"
the file "mysqld.sock" doesn't exist on the server.
I also can't find the file "mysql.server".
I'm using Debian 3.0.
Debian-Package: "mysql-server"
shell> mysql --version
gives the following:
mysql Ver 11.16 Distrib 3.23.49, for pc-linux-gnu (i686)
Please help me!
Thank you
