Recently we EOLed a machine that had a mysql instance. The /usr/local/mysql dir was backed up to tape before EOLing.
Having now installed a new machine, we need to copy the old database from tape to the new machine.
Mysql has been successfully installed on the new machine.
To install the database, can I just copy the ../mysql/data directory from the tape to the corresponding dir on the new machine?
