Hi:
I wonder if anybody has experience using MySQL (or anoth db for
that matter) in FastCGI environment. I open connection to database and
want to make sure it is closed gracefully when application dies
(for whatever reason, for example, killed by server because there is
little demand and server kills unnecessary processes). In other words,
program
flow should (might?) look like:
int main ()
{
atexit(&close_db_connection); //includes FCGI_Finish
open_db_connection();
while (FCGI_Accept() >= 0)
{
//do stuff with database
}
}
This example doesn't work, however.
Some things are better done gracefully, so even though in many
cases simple killing (by server) works, I'm looking for better
control over it - and will be thankful for your help.
