Upon upgrading from MySQL-3.23.52 to MySQL-3.23.53 (using rpm -Uvh), I get the following error:
Fatal error: Can't change to run as user 'mysql' ; Please check that the user exists! The user does exist, and the /var/lib/mysql directory is readable and writable by this user (the same one that .52 was using). This is on a RedHat 7.2 system. Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it? I downgraded to .52 until I know what to do, and it works fine.
