HI I installed the mysql-standard-4.0.12-pc-linux-i686 binary installation according to the installation instructions, but when I run the .bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql & it gave me: mysqld ended.
I looked in the log file and it is written: Fatal error: Cant open privilege tables: Cant find file: './mysql/host.frm I looked at mysql dir with ls -al and the file is missing. do you have any suggestions what the problem is or how can I fix it? Thanks
