Hi Anthony,
The problem with Apache is because you are running from the command
prompt. If you are on NT or equivalent you should start install
Apache as a service, then use the service manager to start and
stop it. If you must run from the command prompt, then use
CTRL-C to close down apache.

I have downloaded and installed PHP Triad (Apache, MySQL and PHP).
I have two problems :
1. I can't see any obvious way of shutting down Apache. I can only seem to
do it by closing the DOS session. When I restart Apache I get the '[warn]
pid file /apache/logs/httpd.pid overwritten --
