Hi, We are having some strange activity logged when viewing the status of a MySQL server we run.
The Com_show_status value is rapidly increasing - many times a second. | Com_show_status | 3553172 | mysql Ver 11.15 Distrib 3.23.47, for sun-solaris2.8 (sparc) The only thing servers that query this box are 4 web servers. These run PHP code to connect to the database. | Com_show_status | 3554074 | (Showing the severity of these - that was within the time it took to write the above bit of email). Has anybody else seen this behaviour? As far as I've been told there is nothing in the PHP code explicitly to say show status, nor are there cron jobs to constantly query the box for the status. Ideally I'd disconnect the web servers and see if the count still increases, but this is on a live production site and isn't available as an option (immediately) until I've queried a few MySQL bods and planned some maintenance. Any help appreciated as this is perplexing.
