I copied this verbatim from the MySQL docs and tried it on two seperate
servers:
mysql GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO monty@%
-IDENTIFIED BY 'some_pass' WITH GRANT OPTION;
ERROR 1047: Unknown
