I'm trying to install mysql on solaris 10, sparc. I'm using gcc 3.4.6.
I downloaded the source, and did the configure using the recommended:
CFLAGS=-O3 CXX=gcc CXXFLAGS=-O3 -felide-constructors \
-fno-exceptions -fno-rtti ./configure \
--prefix=/usr/local/mysql

platform.
I did the following.
Created group mysql
Hi,
I recomend you to use the pre-compiles binary
distribution. You won't have to build it and it worked
for me.
