I've been looking around for a database modeling tool, ported for Linux.
I have seen in the archives a few suggestions of Windows-based tools,
but has anyone found or used a Linux-compatible database modeling tool?

You'll be hard pressed to find one. There is one being worked on. You'll
find it on sourceforge. http://dbdesigner.sourceforge.net I think. What I
used for my layout was Dia. Probably not the best, but it worked.
If you find a good one, let us know.
