I have a folder with all of the files from a database that the server shot craps (database is used for phpBB). I now have another server up and running with phpBB setup and a database with the same name.
My question is, is there any way to merge the information into the new database? We had quite a few posts and attachments on the old machine that would be useful to have again. Even if there was a way to dump them to a text file so I could re-post them at my leisure, that would work as well. I can't seem to find a way to read any of the files I have, nor can I get the new server to do anything with them. I have tried using tools mentioned here on this list to connect to the old server remotely and it will not allow me, so hopefully there is something I can do with them locally on my PC. Thanks!
