I want to know whether MySQL Server runs on ipv6 machine. ie. When you start
the MySQL Server it always binds to 127.0.0.1 ipaddress. IS there any way to
bind MySQL Server to IPv6 loopback address [::1].

There is a patch for IPv6 at http://www.ngn.euro6ix.org/IPv6/mysql/
for the 4.0.18 version.
Does anyone use this patch with success in her/his company ?
