Another question...
I'm trying to diagnose a problem I'm having with MyISAM tables, and it was recommended that I use the binaries instead of compile MySQL myself.
I noticed the binaries have 'i686' in their name.
Does this mean they are optimised for an i686, or will only work on an i686? I have a K6-2 which only likes things compiled with -march=i586 or -march=k6
Thanks!
