I'm using MySQL++ as a wrapper around the MySQL C API.

When I suspend the database, using kill -SIGSTOP, the executing write
query does not timeout as expected.

The read/write timeout has been set to 1 second.

It looks like timeouts work on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (compiler g++
(GCC) 3.4.5 (Red Hat 3.4.5-2)), but not Solaris?

Does the Solaris network stack behave differently than Linux when
timeouts are passed by the
C API.

Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Thanks
