Whoa, back the bus up. Did you actually PAY for a support contract?

If so, then you left this very important fact out of you message. If you
did not then you also did not RTFM because it tells you that the product is
FREE, use it at your own risk and don't bother MySQL AB with questions, post
them here. (Politely)

If you truly want help then:
1: Stop whining.
For the most part, people on this list *like* Mysql and HAVE READ THE
MANUAL. It may seem a bit harsh but your message was long on whine and short
on facts.

2: Give some more details.
Should someone decide to help you (and it must be pointed out here that none
of us, not ever the people who work for MySQL AB, are under ANY obligation
to help you) we need a little more info. What version of MySQL ODBC are you
using? What bloated version of Windows are you using? What version of ODBC
do you have installed on Windows?

FWIW, I'm using Win2k (The second most bloated version of windows available)
and the latest mdac patches along with the latest STABLE release of MyODBC.
I've been using it for 6 months, it's as stable as you can get with Windows.

My guess is that you've got something loaded on your machine (or you have
not loaded the latest and greatest mdac) that is causing MyODBC to throw the
error. My advice, available free of charge and worth every penny of it, is
to try and load it on a different machine. See if you get the same error.

=C=

p.s. as to your support quip. When I post questions on this list, and
provide the proper information, and ask politely, I get answers. Usually
from the DEVELOEPRS OF THE PRODUCT! (The guys that actually write the code)
If not from the develoeprs then from the author of several books on the
subject. These are the experts. Let me ask you, when was the last time
(paid or not) that you called Microsoft to get support and got one fo the
DEVLOPERS of windows?

Subject: MySql Install only produces BSoD

I have tried three times from three different download locations to
download and
install the MySql ODBC. On all three occasions, I have ONLY gotten a BSoD.
When I tried to tell them, they refused to accept the problem directing
me to
HERE. Some great support, yes indeed.
