I have found this trouble between documentation and real API library and quote to
MySQL Team and
report the BUG last 2 months back. They replied me that it's under development and it
would be
available to the developers from its next release on Aug 2004.
The main changes happens in Prepa
The documentation is wrong. The API for 5 hasn't been implemented yet - it
still uses the 4.1.1/4.1.2 API.
See my other posts on performance etc (should be on both the bugs and Mysql
lists). I suggest you download the latest 4.1.2 snapshot and work with that.
