Skip virtual hosting and go for a real dedicated server and you will be
happier since you can put the exact MySQL software on it that you want.
A dedicated server from Dellhost.com isn't much more expensive than shared
and you get all the flexibility you could ever want at a nice price. They

The QoS is very good and the price very cheap. On the other hand they don't
upgrade their services very often. On the server I have my main account they
are still using MySQL 3.22.*.
