Hello all We want a fast box which will only handle username/password queries. I got a recommendation to look into a dedicated mysql box, setup so that it apparently caches large amounts of the data from the database in RAM for very fast lookups. Sounds great, but I have never done anything to a mysql db besides insert/retrieve data.
Can anyone steer me towards some book titles and links that do more than touch on this area of mysql configuration?
