I'm running a Slackware Linux 2.2.16 and am having difficulty installing
MySQL 3.23.38. I have downloaded the following rpm files from www.mysql.com:
MySQL-3.23.38-1.i386.rpm
MySQL-devel-3.23.38-1.i386.r
