I have a Mysql 4.0.14 standard database. A developer runs 'mysql optimize table_name' on a small database. After running it, the SQL gui reports that the 'MESSAGES.MYI' cannot be read.
We have to use myisamchk -o on the table to get the table back but it is missing a lot of updates. Any idea why the optimize function of MySQL would continually corrupt the database?
