Hi Guys I'm very new to the MySql, and I'm only using it for my php based chatboard at the moment. Plans are that I'll try and use the database for some more exciting things, and therefore I would like to be on the newest version. I've made a my.cnf, and the database is placed on a different volume than the binaries. I tried upgrading by just copying the 4.0.16 files on top of the 4.0.14 files. But then I couldn't log in to the database afterwards. What do I need to do after copying the files to make it work?
