A reviewer of a project using MySQL write that use of MySQL auto_increment columns "often breaks the rules of normalisation and promotes poor table design." We can't find anything suggesting that in the MySQL documentation, or in our own experience with MySQL auto-increment. Can anyone clarify? Thanks.
