Hello list i have mysql under solaris 8 my mysql version is Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.55, for sun-solaris2.8
the mysql startup with follow parameters cd /export/home/sil/usr/local/mysql;/bin/sh /export/home/sil/usr/local/mysql/bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql --port=3306 --chroot=/export/home/sil & the startup of mysql is in chroot enviroment the problem is that mysql deamon died.
