woah let me get it straight , u are compiling on a RH 6 machine to be installed on a
RH 7 ? why not compile and install on the same machine , i really cant say if it
makesd a difference but they do have different kernels and are years apart , i've had
no trouble whatsoever compiling and installi
We're having difficulties compiling MySQL on a RedHat 6.2 machine and then
installing on a RedHat 7.2 machine. This has worked in the past. The
reason for doing this is to avoid the gcc 2.96 compilation problems
indicated on the mysql.com download page.
