hello everybody,
We are working on mysql 4.1.8 version and windows XP platform.
As every one knew the default table type here is innodb.All innodb data files
and index files are stored in ibdata1 tablespace.
We started creating user defined tables called sam1 consisting of 750
rows and 10 columns.All columns type is int.Then we did not get any
problem.Next we created table sam2 with 10 columns of 'decimal' type and by the
time we inserted 88 rows we got error 1114(HY000):the table 'sam2' is full.
Why was that so,in one table we could insert 750 rows(The table size is
shown as 98304 by show table status) while other one with decimal type values
was filled for just 88 inserts(Table size is given as 16384 by 'show table
status' command).Does mysql put max limit on
table size?We searched all types of mysql variables but we could not find the
answer.
Please give the details of error 1114.
