Hi, all recently, we compiled under mdk8 , then under rh6.2 version of mysql4.01 and also mysql4.02 sources as : ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql --with-vio --with-opensssl=/usr/local/ssl with-named-curses-libs=/usr/libs/libncurses.so.5 then make , make install, etc....
all seems to works but when we execute under mysql client, show variables, the var : have_openssl is setted to NO ! what do we need to "activate" SSL, the set-variable command doesn't work ! is it only possible during the compilation ? we try a lot of timles to generate compiled version with SSL with some other options but all with the same result ! does we require particular version of open ssl (other than 0.9.6) might you help us !
