Hi,

Linux 2.4.21-32.0.1.EL #1 Tue May 17 18:01:37 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386
GNU/Linux

I rebooted the mysql server. After the OS came back, I was not able to
find mysqld, safe_mysqld and mysqladmin any more (their respective man
pages are still there). But the mysql client command and other mysql
commands are still ther. /var/log/mysqld.log does not have newer
information than May.

% rpm -aq|grep mysql
mysql-3.23.58-15.RHEL3.1

# up2date -i mysql
The following packages you requested are already updated:
mysql

Why the version of mysql package provided by RHN is sooo low is another
story.

Anybody have any clues what might have happened? What should I do to get
safe_mysqld back?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Bing
